CHAPTER I
No Ordinary
beginnings.
For as long as I can remember, if I wanted something
and couldn’t find it quite the way I wished, I made it.
And I really enjoyed offering that to others too.
That instinct followed me into dance.
For more than a decade I’ve danced, performed, taught,
choreographed and made things for bodies in motion,
from swimwear to polewear and stage costumes.
That became No Ordinary.
It was never really about making clothes or dance experiences
for the sake of it. It was about creating something from the heart
that always felt good.
For as long as I can remember,
if I wanted something and couldn’t find it quite the way I wished, I made it.
And I really enjoyed offering that to others too.

supportive when they need to be, comfortable enough
to live in and special enough to love.

a house.
When my husband and I came together, so did our work.
House of Hox is the home we’ve built around the things
we make and the experiences we create.
No Ordinary lives here, alongside movement, workshops,
events and the other things that naturally grow from our
shared interests and skills.
I create, design and make. Nik brings the structure, technology
and business that supports it.
Different strengths. One house.
